I <3 the beach!

I <3 the beach!

When Beth was here, we had to take her to meet her father in Sarasota- and I am so glad because we discovered the perfect beach for kids! It is perfect because the waters are calm, and there are plenty of tidepools for the kids to romp around in- it wasn’t that crowded, and we didn’t have to worry about them being hit by a car driving down the beach, either! The water was the perfect temperature, and we all had a BLAST! I can’t wait to go back!

Amy - I have a 7 week old boy with microphthalmia in the left eye. We currerntly looking for a doctor. How did you find yours? The first doctor we saw doesn’t believe in using conformers.

Freedom - Girl, CONGRATS on your beautiful baby who is destined to become an amazing person!
About your question,
Thankfully, they had us seen by doctors straight in the hospital before they ever let us leave.
I would seek out a cranio-facial specialist- or a pediatric ophthalmologist- or both. If you live in a small town, you may need to travel to the closest big city to find what you need. But my doctors all collectively conclude that conformer therapy is essential- but only after a thorough diagnosis. Making sure that there is no possibility of sight in that eye. That could be (in my non-expert opinion-) why someone would say not to do it-
